Technical Code for Exploration and Surveying of Large Crossing Overhead Transmission Line

1 Scope
This code specifies the basic technical requirements for the engineering survey, geotechnical engineering survey, and hydrological survey of large crossing overhead transmission lines.
This code is applicable to the exploration and surveying of 220 kV-750 kV large crossing overhead transmission lines. Ⅰt can be taken as a reference for exploration and surveying of large crossing overhead transmission lines at other voltage levels.
Ⅰn the case of strain sections of lines crossing wide navigable rivers, lakes or straits with large spans (generally above 1000 m) or high towers (generally higher than 100 m) for which special consideration shall be taken in conductor selection or tower design and faults of them may severely influence navigation or are extremely difficult to repair. Under these circumstances, the lines shall be surveyed as large crossing projects.

3 General Provisions
3.0.1 This code is established to unify the technical standards for exploration and surveying of large crossing overhead transmission lines, ensure that the lines are technically advanced and cost effective and the strain sections of the lines can operate safely and normally.
3.0.2 The exploration and surveying of large crossing overhead transmission lines involve engineering survey, geotechnical engineering survey and hydrological survey, aiming at providing accurate and reliable design basis and basic data for the design, construction, and operation of large crossing lines.
3.0.3 The exploration and surveying of large crossing overhead transmission lines shall be divided into three stages consisting of feasibility study, preliminary design and construction drawing design in order to accommodate the requirements of different design stages. Ⅰf the scheme for large crossing lines is definite and the conditions are simple, these stages can be combined, provided that the design requirements of all stages are satisfied. Ⅰf there are special requirements for the projects, corresponding exploration and surveying stages can be included.
3.0.4 Ⅰn the exploration and surveying of large crossing overhead transmission lines, the new technologies and equipment shall be actively promoted.
3.0.5 Ⅰn addition to this code, the exploration and surveying of large crossing overhead transmission lines shall also comply with the current related national codes and industrial standards.

1 Scope
This code specifies the contents and technical requirements for hydrogeological investigation of electric power engineering.
This code is applicable to hydrogeological investigations and water resources evaluation of water supply for thermal power plant, substation or converter station, environmental hydrogeological investigation and evaluation of ash yard, investigation and evaluation of reclaimed water utilization, mine draining water utilization, and hydrogeological investigation of dewatering for construction and other special hydrogeological activities.

3 General Provisions
3.0.1 The water resources in electric power engineering shall be used on a reasonable, economical and well-protected basis. The use shall be coordinated with the integrated development plans for concerned river basins or regions and related water resource protection plans, in conformity with approved water allocation scheme or protocol.
3.0.2 The hydrogeological investigation and evaluation of ash yard environment shall be performed at reasonable cost and under effective protection, without affecting surrounding water and ecological environment.
3.0.3 With a comprehensive consideration of the requirements in stages such as design, construction, and operation, the hydrogeological investigation of dewatering for construction shall be carried out in a scientific way that suits local conditions and overall construction plan.
3.0.4 In hydrogeological investigations of power project, demonstrated and proven new techniques and methods shall be promoted for higher efficiency and level.
