The influence of construction sequence,temperature at construction site, and welding shrinkage deformation due to welding on structural configuration and internal force of structure, as well as temporary supports are ignored usually. Welding shrinkage deformation of a single tube member is studied firstly, then the affection of welding is involved in analysis of integrate model of structure based on the equal deformation principle. The proposed procedure has been used in the construction analysis of Shenzhen Universiade Sports Center Main Stadium. The result of numerical simulation through the two-discrete element method roughly reflects the development tendency of the measured earth pressure and the buttress’s setlement, which coincides with the results of numerical simulation.It's feasible that using discrete element method to simulate the process of existing railway jacking culverts construction and it also has a reference value about the control of the buttress settlement.
