A large number of field tests and indoor foundation. Test results were obtained for the mineral ponents,physical and mechanical index,grain position,watersensitivity and collapsibility,which provided sufficient parameters for the backfilling and rolling treatment. Besides,simulated rainfall test was performed to study the permeability of the silt soil before and after the rolling treatment. The resuts show that when the simulated quantity of rainfall is larger than the average local value, after a continuous simulated rainfall of 12 hours, the infiltration depth reached 1.35m for undisturbed soil and 1. 2m for the rolled soil. The shallowest foundation base for the current project is 1.4m. Therefore, the foundation base of this project will not be affected by the local rainfall. When the installation of lighting roof is finished,the main stel beam is lengthened and increasing the counterweight,then the operation platform is demolished with the hoisters and pulley scaffolds. The construction platform has lots of advantages, including low construction investment,low installation cost,high safety of working at high altitude,and the inner decoration is not influenced when the lighting roof constructs. Lad.of CTCE Group Hefei Anhui 230022 China) Abstract:Taking a project in Xinjiang as an example this paper introduced the installation of a large- span and large-tonnage steel transfer truss which was unable to be constructed using ordinary large-scale machines.Making full use of symmetrical characteristics of the truss at high altitude the installation was finished by self-bearing sliding and hoisting.Specifically the transverse truss was used as a sliding bracket and the longitudinal truss blocks slid on it to the specified locations.Then the longitudinal truss columns that were already positioned were used as supports above which the hoisting steel strand jacks were fixed.These steel strand jacks were then used to lift the longitudinal trusses to their design altitudes to finish the installation.
