Shanghai Tongyan Architectural and Planning Design Co.,Ld.,Shanghai 200092, China) Abstract:Choosing the width of bearing plate to do field static load test with gravelly soil with thickness of 10m of filled earth reinforced by dynamic paction, this paper considered both the minimum value required by the relevant standard and the depth-influencing factors produced by bearing plates after being stressed and then chose 4 norms of large square bearing plates with the width of 1.41m, 3. 00m,3.46m and 4.47m to do the field static load test to study the effects of width of bearing plates to foundation settlement,relative settlement proportion,soil parameters,ultimate bearing capacity of ground and bearing capacity of ground.Summing up the results helps gain the rule of the objects mentioned above varyingwith the width ofbearing plates and shows the width choosing range of bearing platesto do static load test of dynamic pacting the filled earth foundation.
