In order to validate the effectiveness of this technique, quasi-static cyclic model tests had been conducted in which two 1:2 scaled whole masonry laminate)and a control one (with constructional column and ring beam).The experimental results showed that this technique could not only increase the integrity of the walls,but also improve the ductility and the energy dissipation capacity of the walls. Besides, this technique only requires a small amount of work and has little additional influence to the original structure.
