Notice on Publishing the National Standard of “Code for Acceptance of Construction QualityofWaterSupply Drainage and HeatingWorks"
Jian Biao2002]No.62 According to the requirement of Document Jian Biao [1996] No. 4 issued by Minis- try of Construction (MOC)*Notice on Printing the Development and Revision Plan of National Engineering Construction Standards in 1995~1996, this “Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Water Supply Drainage and Heating Works” is revised jointly by the Construction Department of Liaoning Province and organizations concerned. Af- ter joint examination organized by MOC, the “Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Water Supply Drainage and Heating Works” has been approved as a national standard with the serial number of GB 50242 2002 and is to be implemented on April 1, 2002. Articles 3. 3. 3, 3. 3,16, 4. 1. 2. 4. 2. 3, 4. 3. 1, 5. 2. 1, 8. 2. 1, 8,3. 1, 8.5.1, 8. 5. 2, 8. 6. 1, 8. 6.3, 9. 2. 7, 10. 2. 1, 11. 3. 3, 13. 2. 6, 13. 4. 1, 13. 4. 4, 13, 5, 3 and 13, 6, 1 in the Code are pulsory provisions and must be enforced strictly. The “Specifications for Construction and Acceptance of Heating and Sanitaryn Installa- tion” GBJ 242-82 and any related parts in “Quality Inspetion and Assessment of Heat- ing Sanitary and Gas Work" GBJ 302 - 88 with respect of “heating and sanitary engi- neering” shall be abolished simultaneously. The Ministry of Construction is in charge of the administration of this Code and the explanation of the pulsory provisions. The Rural and Urban Construction Commis- sion of Shenyang is responsible for the explanation of specific technical contents, Au- thorized by Research Institute of Standards &. Norms, this code is published and dis- tributed by China Architecture and Building Press.

Foreword According to the spirit of document Jian Biao [1996] No. 4 issued by Ministry of Construction, this Code was jointly developed by Department of Construction of Liaon- ing Province as editing department, Urban and Rural Building Committee of Shenyang City as cditing unit, and other relevant organizations after revising the “Specifications for Construction and Acceptance of Heating and Sanitary Installation” GBJ 242-82 and “Quality Inspetion and Assessment of Heating Sanitary and Gas Work" GBJ 302-88. In revision, the Code development team caried out monographic studies, made ex- tensive investigations and researches, and summed up years' experience in design, mate rials and construction of building water supply, drainage and heating works. Following the guideline of “Separating acceptance from evaluation, strengthening acceptance, im- proving methods, and process control", the team performed overall revision, added the quality standards and inspection methods of installation of intermediate water system of building and swimming pool water system, heat exchange station and installation of low-temperature hot water floor radiant heating system as well as new materials ( i, e. * posite pipe, plastic pipe, copper pipe, new type radiator and packaged pipe fit- tings). The team also solicited extensively opinions from relevant units nationwide in many ways, and repeatedly amended main issues. Finally, this Code was finalized through examination in August 2001. The Code stipulates that the categorization, process and construction organization of engineering quality acceptance shall be implemented in accordance with the nation standard *Unified Standard for Construction Quality Acceptance of Building Engineer- ing* GB 50300. It set forth the testing on application functions and content of inspection and listed the quality inspection method of Dominant Items and General Items in subdi- visional works, The code may be amended partially it in the future, Messnge of related revised parts and clauses will be publicized in the magazine of Standardization of Engineering Construction. The provisions printed in bold type are pulsory ones and must be enforced strictly. All relevant organizations are kindly requested to sum up and accumulate your experiences in actual practices during the process of implementing this Code.
