This Design Guide provides guidance for the design of blast resistant structures and progressive collapsemitigation. Background infomation and some basic peinciples are reviewed as well as the presentation ofdesign examples. The goal of this Design Guide is to provide enough information for a structural engineer to effectively interact with a security or blast consultant.
