Because of the variations in humidity,temperature,load,structure and so on,the cracks are usually found at the parts which is weaker than others. In this project, the cracks mainly appear in the central section of filled walls which have no steel tie bars and these cracks mostly emerge in the form of vertical cracks in large numbers. In view of these special cracks of aerated concrete filled wall, it can be concluded through field statistics and theoretical analysis that these cracks appearing in this engineering are caused by the block dry shrinkage,temperature difference and the load of upper structure.Accordingly, it is sugested that a gap should be spared between the structure and filer wall during construction and flled after the structure settlement.Moreover,construction time should be paid attention.
