The test in this standard is included in BS 1377-9:1990(subclause 3.3) which is now withdrawn.Its use is covered in BS 5930:1999 clause 25.2 where there is reference to BS 1377-9:1990 clause 3.3. BS EN ISO 22476-3:2005A1:2011 should now be used instead. It should be noted that the new test method requires a calibration of the equipment for energy ratio (ratio of the actual energy to the theoretical energy of the hammer).
