This British Standard is the UK implementation of EN 14509:2013. Itsupersedles BS EN 14509:2006 which is withdrawn.
EN 14509:2013 is a candlidate *harmonized" European Standard and fully takes into account the requirements of the European Commissionmandates M/121 Internal and external wall and ceiling finishes andgiven under the EU Construction Products Directive (89/106/EEC) and is M/122 Roof coverings roof lights roof windows and ancillary products intended to lead to CE marking. The date of applicability of EN 14509:2013as a *harmonized European Standard i.e. the date after which this Standard may be used for CE marking purposes is subject to anannouncement in the Official Journal of the European Communities.
EN 14509:2013 is the subject of transitional arrangements agreed under the European Commission mandate.
