PREFACE FORMATTING CHANGES TO THE 2024 INTERNATIONAL CODES The 2024IntemationalCodes(1-Codes*have undergone substantial formattingchangesas part of the digital transformationstrat- egyof theIntenationalCodeCouncil(cCtoimprovetheuserexperienceTheresultingproductbetteralignstheprintandDF versions of the I-Codes with the ICC's Digital Code content. Replacement of Marginal Markings with QR Codes Through 2021, print editions of the 1-Codes identified technical changes from prior code cycles withmarginal markings [solid vertical lines for new text, deletion arrows (), asterisks forrelocations (*).The 2024-Code print editions replace the marginal markings with QR codes to identify code changes more precisely.
