The FEM for slope stability can make the putation results much more accurate and reasonable. The stability of high-illed ramming slope inapower plant is investigated in this paper using strength reductionmethod with nonlinear finite element.It is can be drawn out that the design of the slope is safe and reliable from the numerical results. The effect of the slope ratio on the stability is also studied in this paper. The relationship between the safety factors and slope ratio is obtained by puting the safety factors considering the change of the slope ratio.Finally,theeffctof the slope fomon the stabilityisanalyzed. Taking the excavation of the 4th entrance of East Diaoyutai Station,Beijing Metro Line 9 as an example, this paper simulated the whole process of foundation excavation and support using software ANSYS, and analyzed the settlement deformation of the existing building foundations during excavation.The results show that the foundation settlement increases with the increase of the excavation depths.Locations closer to the excavation show larger settlement deformations and the entire building inclines toward the foundation. Based on the principles of risk management the application of risk management principles is introduced into control of engineering cost in decision-making stage such as risk identification risk assessment and analysis risk response and risk monitoring.The results show that risk management principles are applied in decision-making stage of construction project which can decrease the uncertainty during the process of decision-making stage.Thus the risk can be controlled even effectively used by adopting measures.
