Self- balance method is used for the first time in China to determine the bearing capacity of the two inclined stel-pipe piles. The tests indicate that one of the two inclined steel-pipe piles’bearing capacity is not enough, so piling barge is used to hammer the pile, then the self-balance static loading experiment is used at the second time, the test results show that the bearing capacity meets the design requirements. Combined with the International Commerce Plaza Project in Hong Kong,the authors introduce access tower in detail, including its design,manufacture,installation, maintenance and demolion. The engineering practice shows that using access tower can save construction site, allow closed decoration,speed up decoration progress and reduce the infuence of construction on lower floor operations, which made it possible for super tall buildings to be put in use by stages.
